I love Autumn.
Every year, it marks a time of reflection, of cozy nights in the living room with a bowl of chill and a Marvel movie on the screen. More on that later…
I’m a big one for traditions and October 1st is the start of 30% of my annual traditions.
- I’m a Pumpkin Spice E-ve-ry-thing person
- My birthday is October 18th (I’m Libra AF)
- My job’s annual fundraiser gala is in October
- My husband and I start a marathon of Marvel movies starting November 1st (Infinity Series in chronological order, minus Hulk cause we just don’t wanna)
- Then we pause the week of Thanksgiving to take an annual trip to Middle Earth by watching all three Lord of the Rings movies (Director’s cut cause that’s how we vacation)
- We watch Love Actually while we put the Christmas tree up. I’m also someone that never gets tired of hearing “All I want for Christmas Is You”.
But November 5th is different. It’s my annual reminder that resistance comes in all forms, that fear can only rule for so long, and the incredible power in a single action.
